Who we are
Jones’ Fort came about out of a love of guns. Starting in 1962, we steadily grew into Redding’s Gun Shop and are still a family owned business. Each of our employees have devoted years to taking care of Shasta County’s gun owners, making us the most qualified and experienced shop to meet your firearm needs. We pride ourselves on friendly, knowledgeable service with a wide range of gun related offerings. Our extensive selection of new, used, and collector guns is constantly changing, so drop by often to see what’s new. Our consignments are guaranteed to sell or we will buy them. Our additional services include expert gunsmithing, CCW courses for first time and experienced shooters, and firearm transfers. Bring your toughest technical questions or problematic gun troubles and we’ll do our best to help you.
Our Staff
Marshall
An avid hunter and shooter, gunsmith and firearms instructor. With close to 50 years of experience he can answer most any technical gun question and help you diagnose and repair your most difficult guns. His CCW courses are extremely informative and fun.
Patrick
As a hunter, expert shooter, superb gunsmith, and long time trap shooter, this man knows his way around a shotgun. Don’t let his preferences fool you though; his knowledge of handguns and rifles is unparalleled.
Jacque
With years at the gun shop under her belt, this woman’s knowledge and experience with hand guns goes unrivaled. With a passion for all things CCW, she will help you find the conceal carry holster that is right for you. Not to mention, she’s a crack shot!
John
With Jones’ Fort since 1998, we are proud to call this man an honorary member of the Jones family. As a hunter and tournament trap shooter, it goes without saying that his marksmanship is superb. As a collector of antique weaponry, his knowledge of curio and relic firearms is impressively vast.
Jake
As an avid collector of WWI and WWII rifles, this young man serves as our military gun expert. While he definitely prefers antique rifles, he also shoots a variety of hand guns and is extremely knowledgeable on all things firearm.
